Anxiety is a perfectly normal reaction to stressors. But too much anxiety can deplete your energy and leave you feeling unable to cope with the stressors. Meeting the client where they are, I use an eclectic mix of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, Strengths-based and tailor my approach to include Mindfulness-Based Therapy and behavior activation.

I work with couples as well as trouples and polyamorous units. I often use Emotion-Focus-Therapy in relationship therapy. I find communication to be one of the most important skills in building healthy relationships. Once healthy communication is established, we can then get into the issues bringing you to therapy.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on helping clients improve their emotional connection with their partners. It emphasizes the importance of secure attachment bonds and helps couples identify and resolve negative emotional patterns. By improving emotional intimacy and communication, EFT can strengthen relationships and enhance overall well-being.

DBT is a form of psychotherapy that combines CBT with mindfulness. It helps clients regulate emotions, improve relationships, and tolerate distress. By addressing these areas, DBT can significantly improve a client's overall well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. As your CBT therapist, I'll help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that might be contributing to difficulties in your life. We'll work together to develop healthier coping mechanisms and improve your overall well-being.
