About My Clients
I'm passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families that have experiences of trauma, divorce, and relationship conflict. I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ folks and folks with disabilities. No matter who you are or what you are here to work on, I view you in your wholeness and we will explore how all the intersections of your identity show up in your experiences.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I work from a systemic framework, meaning we will identify how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how we can use that information to work through your problem or the spaces where you feel stuck in life. I utilize an attachment-based, person-centered approach, so our sessions will be very collaborative and non-judgmental. I'm experienced in individual, couple, and family therapy, and I have extensive experience working with trauma, relationship conflict, divorce, parenting, and life transitions. I have experience working with clients with physical and developmental disabilities and neurodivergent clients. I see many queer/trans identified folks and partners in ethical non-monogamous relationships, as well as.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a systemic thinker and intersectional feminist I'm passionate about social, racial, and disability justice. I'm a strong believer in build community, learning from others, and having compassion for people and animals. I enjoy actively participating in civic life. I also believe in de-stigmatizing therapy, and working from a framework of wellness, rather than pathology, and it's something I speak on whenever I have the opportunity.
