Sarah supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, family of origin and relationship concerns, life transitions, parenting, low self-esteem, identity, and sexual issues, among other concerns. Sarah specializes in working with people through the complexity of identity, relationships, and life roles during pregnancy, fertility, birth, parenthood, and postpartum. She also incorporates multiple facets of cultural identity into her work with clients.
My Background and Approach
Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Mark E. Hundley, M.Ed., LPC-S. She received her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Prior to counseling, Sarah was an educator and coached new teachers through career change, professional relationships, and identity development work with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has counseling experience in both community clinics and private practice. Sarah offers counseling services to adults in every stage of life, both in person and via telehealth. Sarah specializes in working with people in people navigating fertility, births, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting, and is working towards her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). Sarah has received training through Postpartum Support International and the Center of Perinatal Excellence. Sarah also has training and experience working on topics like implicit bias, social justice, and racial identity development.
