Accepting Clients

I am non-judgmental, provide a safe and confidential atmosphere, and am usually pretty good at helping people feel comfortable right away.

Psychologist in Georgia

About My Clients

I work with adults of all ages, older adolescents, couples, and families, regardless of background. I also perform all sorts of psychological assessments if one is needed (i.e. diagnostic, court ordered, child custody, etc.) I see people who report difficulty with trauma, anxiety, mood, adjustment, life issues, and relationships.

My Background and Approach

My approach focuses primarily on the here and now, and uses the past only as a tool to help improve ones future. Based on your needs, I help you look at your situation and identify alternative perspectives, behaviors, or attitudes that hold you back, or just provide a listening ear. For trauma history, I use cpt, PE or cbct, researched effective treatment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Being licensed in Georgia for over 20 years has given me experience with a wide range of patients and disorders. Even though I attended college and lived in large cities, for years I was the only psychologist practicing in a rural area of Georgia. Therefore, I have experience with diverse issues and with people from all walks of life. I have noted particular success with couples and those with PTSD or anxiety disorders. I am solely available in the evening or weekends for appointments.
