About My Clients
My clients are individuals from all walks of life. Some of them are 1st or 2nd gen children of immigrants juggling and navigating an array of relationship issues impacted by culture and migration. the majority of my clients are members of the LGBTQIA community with diverse backgrounds looking for a space where they can be seen, validated, and learn about themselves in different realms and relationships. The ages of my clients range from early 20s to late 70s.
My Background and Approach
My clinical work encompasses treatment issues such as trauma (child sexual abuse and violence), depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have extensive experience in providing trans-affirming care to individuals with queer identities, diverse sexualities, and their families. I received my PhD from the Smith College School for Social Work where I teach Theory and Practice courses in their MSW and Professional Education programs. I enjoy supervising aspiring clinicians' clinical work and providing consultation to public and private entities in my areas of expertise.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My professional life involves first and foremost a deep commitment to my clinical practice and the communities I serve. I believe strongly in making mental health care accessible to folx who are less resourced and offer low bono rates using a sliding scale made possible by clients who are more privileged and can afford my full fee.
