My Background and Approach
I have 3 years of counseling experience. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental health Counselor Associate. I specialize in working with children and clients who struggle with Depression and Anxiety. I understand the lengthy process it takes to find a counselor that understands relationships, woman's issues and who is culturally aware. I have a passion working with woman, couples and minorities. Lets go on this journey together to find the best skills to help you through life's many stages.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone can change and grow at any stage of their lives. The human potential is infinite. I believe that the reason we develop mental health issues is because somewhere in our lives we developed these unhealthy behaviors. The good part of this is that these unhealthy behaviors can be unlearned and replaced with healthy ones. As a teenager I suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks. Through my own therapy, I have learned how to manage my anxiety and not let it control me anymore. Life can still get overwhelming but I have proper skills to get me through the hard days. I want you to feel that same liberation. I do not discriminate against anyone. I support Black Lives Matter and the LGBTQ+ community.
