About My Clients
I know that struggling with anxiety is exhausting. You're awake at night and your body can't relax. You feel exhausted and tired on a regular basis. On the outside you seem successful, but on the inside you want to scream from all the pressure and feel stuck. Your relationships are also not where you want it to be - feeling disconnected, struggling with the same issues, and the thought that something’s missing. You want things to change, but don't know how to get there.
My Background and Approach
I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and overcome your stuck points. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts that won't go away, feeling disconnected from loved ones, or struggling to navigate the dating scene, know that you don't have to face these challenges alone. In our first few sessions, I will focus on learning more about you and identifying what you want to accomplish in therapy. Afterwards, all sessions are custom-tailored to your goals and needs. We can learn coping skills and other tools to better manage stress and anxiety, process recent stressful events, brainstorm ways to deal with current problems, learn more about who you are, or do some powerful work with EMDR to move past the past that’s holding you back.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a person-centered therapist. I believe that you are the expert of your own life and already have all the skills necessary for healing; my goal is to empower you to discover and use those strengths so that you can create the life that you want. I believe that a strong client-therapist relationship is fundamental in creating positive change. I work from a strength-based, trauma-informed, sex positive, culturally sensitive, and harm reduction lense.
