I have completed phase 1 training in Brainspotting with adults/teens, as well as an advanced course in the use of Brainspotting with children.

I have more than a decade of experience providing play therapy, and I seek ongoing continuing education in somatic and attachment focused play therapy approaches.

I believe there is no magic decoder ring for the art images created in art therapy, and only the artist-client can know their meaning; however, we can use a nonjudgmental and curious approach to explore what message the art may hold, or the creative process itself may be the focus rather than the end result.

I have completed phase 1 training in Brainspotting with adults/teens, as well as an advanced course in the use of Brainspotting with children. This is a gentle, organic approach to trauma therapy which is based on the idea that "where you look affects how you feel." It allows clients to process traumatic events in their own way and at their own pace. Brainspotting may be a good fit for clients who have difficulty talking about the traumatic event(s) because it is primarily a nonverbal approach.

I have more than a decade of experience providing play therapy to individuals from preschool age to middle school. I seek ongoing continuing education in somatic, neurobiology, and attachment focused play therapy approaches. I use a flexible approach to play therapy which can range from nondirective (support of client-led therapeutic play) to directive /prescriptive (implementing play-based activities for specific goals) depending on individual needs.

In addition to lived experience as a late-diagnosed ADHD adult, I'm experienced in supporting young people with coping skills and strategies for being differently wired in a non-accommodating world. I am affirming of all flavors of neurodivergence and also mindful that brain differences may be experienced as positive, negative, or a mixed experience depending on the individual and the situation.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I am committed to providing a safe, affirming, and intersectional space for individuals to be who they are. And as a therapist who is both queer and neurodivergent, I welcome clients who want to explore the complexity of this dual identity.

I enjoy working with autistic kids, teens, and young adults to provide non-pathologizing support for their emotional and psychosocial needs, which vary widely from person to person. I use neurodivergence affirming language (a.k.a. "identity first" language), have a true appreciation for infodumping, and can offer alternate ways to work together for folks who find talk-based therapy less helpful or inaccessible.
