About My Clients
I believe counseling is a collaborative journey between client and counselor. I love the ability to learn the stories of each client’s life and am grateful to get the opportunity to support each client with the heartaches of being a human.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and National Certified Counselor. I obtained my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado Christian University. I am a trauma-informed counselor who will approach every client with Person-Centered Therapy. I have a foundation of Constructive Therapy and Reality Therapy. I also integrate Existential Therapy and Gestalt Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you have to take time to learn about each person who enters your life. I take this approach with every client I meet. I believe everyone can find hope for the future if they have someone who is willing to sit, walk, and explore the trenches of life with them. I am passionate about mental health and the ability to be the person to support another in finding hope for their future. I do not believe money should be in the way from anyone seeking out mental health support. I have a discounted rate and support each client were they are financially to get the mental health support they need. I take time each to continue my education on Suicide Prevention, Substance Abuse Disorders, and how to Bridge the Gap for minority cultures and communities. I am also an active volunteer in my church which focuses on building up and supporting the community.
