About My Clients
I'm most effective helping clients who experienced childhood trauma and are trying to make sense of what their lives were growing up. In spite of having success in life my clients still realize how the past is impacting the present. This may show up in unhealthy relationships, uncontrollable anxiety, and/or substance use issues. I have vast amounts of experience treating PTSD, mood disorders, especially bipolar disorder, and phobias.
My Background and Approach
I began my professional journey in substance use environments, where I gained valuable experience in accurately diagnosing clients and understanding the impact of trauma on the severity of substance use issues. As the pandemic unfolded in 2020, I took the opportunity to undergo training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This additional skill has allowed me to adopt an integrative approach to counseling, where I do not limit myself to a single strategy. Through my work as a therapist, I have found EMDR to be highly effective, often reducing the duration of therapy compared to traditional talk therapy. My ultimate objective when working with clients is to provide them with the maximum relief in the shortest possible time. I am mindful of the financial My goal with every client I work with is to get the most relief in the shortest time necessary. I'm aware that psychotherapy can be costly, timely, and the clients I work with want to improve as quickly as possible.
