About My Clients
I have experience working inpatient, in non-profits, and community based programs. I have worked with people in acute crisis, with chronic trauma, differing abilities and complex difficulties. As well as with those struggling to adjust to life's many changes, relationships, identity and overall growth. I hope your biggest takeaway from our sessions is that you are not alone. You do not have to hurt alone, you do not have to create change alone.
My Background and Approach
I take a solution-oriented approach, with a mix of CBT and Narrative therapy as well. Though, we can build an approach together that best suits your needs. I have been in the therapist's chair working on my own mental health before, so, I understand from both sides how difficult this can be. Let someone help you lighten the load. At the end of the day, If I am not the right fit for you, we can work together to find someone who is.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in individual ability and like to work from a strengths based perspective. I hold no judgments about personal life style choices and authentic selves. I hold true that people do the best with what they have, and if they aren't doing it, then they don't have it yet. I support whatever and however you choose to live your best life, as long as it is safe, sane and consensual.
