About My Clients
Therapeutically, I specialize in various age groups (e.g., 2+), but specifically with children, adolescents, and adults. I further specialize in providing therapeutic services to those with experiences of trauma, self-distressing maladaptive behaviors, and those identifying as LGBTQ+. I utilize individual and family therapy with populations identifying with behavior diagnoses, trauma, and dual diagnoses. During sessions, I may utilize techniques from various therapeutic modalities such as EMDR.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Western Michigan University and my Master's Degree at Wayne State University with graduate certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis and School Psychology. I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Wayne State University and have fulfilled all of my degree requirements. While I wait for my program to finish its licensing requirements, I am continuing my postdoctoral education in neuropsychology. Previously, I practiced as a school psychologist, led research teams, and trained school personnel in Applied Behavior Analysis. I currently practice as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), therapist, parent consultant, school consultant, and psychological evaluator. My research interests include trauma-informed behavior analysis, women's empowerment, social-emotional learning, vicarious trauma, and sexual and gender-diverse populations related to resilience and quality of life.
