I'm a queer and neurodivergent individual and relationship therapist. I am a direct communicator and compassionate educator. Let's journey!

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Indianapolis, IN

About My Clients

My clients are often neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and experiencing a lot of anxiety. They're interested in understanding how to get what they want out of life safely, and how to advocate with their loved ones and peers throughout the process. Whether you are living with your parents and looking to build independence or you are high masking and high achieving, looking to cope with the stress of your obligations, you're a good fit for me. I enjoy working with individuals teens, adults, and couples.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed mental health counselor and I often utilize DBT, EFT, ERP, and relational approaches, all of which means I help you identify your values, emotions, and fears, and then use that knowledge to help you build interpersonal peace and independence. This year I am attending the sex therapy and education certificate program through University of Michigan, and I frequently work with folx in this arena already. I am white and grew up working class, but I work with clients of many diverse ethnic and financial backgrounds. I enjoy working with women and couples as well as LGBTQ+. I also work with men, but some isolated men's issues are not my specialty. I don't give you worksheets, but my clients often leave with informal homework, or a focus which they've collaborated on with me to help support them between sessions. Due to my neurodivergence, i'm naturally more direct than many others, and I often receive feedback that my compassionate and direct approach is refreshing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I incorporate anti-capitalism, lgbtq+ affirmation, and intersectional feminism into my practice while making room for my client's values and background. I believe that mental distress is rooted in these frameworks and it's nearly impossible to talk about mental health from a biopsychosocial approach without acknowledging the roles things such as gender, sex, class, and race has on our experiences. I am also pro-hobby/kink and anti-shame, and believe you deserve to not be belittled for what you enjoy!
