About My Clients
I enjoy working closely with folks who are interested in addressing disordered eating, body image distress, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I am also passionate about working with college students and adults who are navigating life transitions and exploring new facets of their identity.
My Background and Approach
I've worked in various settings including, private practice, health care, non-profit, and higher education. I use an integrative and culturally sensitive approach with my clients using Attachment theory and a Humanistic framework. I individualize my approach to fit the needs of the client and pull from a variety of evidence-based practices. You can expect to receive support, open communication, and a safe space to share your experience without judgment. You can also expect to receive feedback from an objective standpoint and encouragement to think in new ways that support your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important components in eliciting change. I believe in a collaborative approach where we work together in exploring what you would like to get out of therapy and figuring out how to get there. In this collaboration, I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own situation and that therapy can be used as a vessel to guide and empower the experts to take control of their own lives.
