About My Clients
I specialize in helping young men navigate the unique challenges and pressures that come with the male experience. My practice is focused on improving self-esteem, strengthening relationships, and addressing issues that are often underrepresented but deeply impactful in men’s lives.
My Background and Approach
Using a practical and solution-oriented approach, I work collaboratively with my clients to identify and overcome barriers, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to thrive both personally and professionally. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a general sense of feeling stuck, my goal is to provide you with the tools and support to create meaningful and lasting change. Other areas of expertise include ADHD, learning disorders and high-functioning autism. I am also highly experienced in trauma therapy, particularly in helping individuals recover from early life sexual, physical, and verbal abuse, as well as those grieving the premature loss of a parent. A background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an outpatient I like to use a strengths based perspective so that my clients are able to build on the positives they already have rather than focusing on defeats and feeding into a deficit mindset. I help people move forward and build up towards more confidence and self efficacy. The goal is to create partnership with my clients and some sense of control. As someone committed to social justice and supporting marginalized communities, I’m excited to be taking over leadership of a LGBTQ support group, which is currently looking for new members. In my work, I already support queer and trans individuals in one-on-one therapy, offering a space for exploration and affirmation of identity as needed.
