About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples and families who are trying to find an authentic way of relating to themselves and others. Who might be feeling lost, overwhelmed or frustrated with all that life demands of us these days, but who still want to show up, learn, share, grow and be a part of this madly whirling world. To do the work of change and find a way to thrive, from roots to branches. If you need to find calm in the storm, I can help.
My Background and Approach
My practice is integrative and includes approaches from narrative, psychodynamic, somatic, family systems, gestalt and mindfulness therapies, as well as tools from CBT, DBT and wisdom traditions around the world. I have experience treating interpersonal and family conflict, substance use disorders, spiritual crises, depression, anxiety, and those with psychotic symptoms if they are medically stable. We can find tools that work for you and help you work with what is happening in the present moment, even when you've been triggered by something from the past.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a community coordinator with the VA's Suicide Prevention initiative. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, feminist and support racial equality. I am open to both traditional and alternative family structures and comfortable with mainstream and non-conventional spiritual beliefs (including "nones", spiritual-but-not-religious, nature-centered and atheist). My own practice includes Zen meditation, shirin yoku (forest walk), music and yoga.
