About My Clients
Do you feel disconnected from yourself and/or others? Do you identify as neurodivergent, highly-sensitive, a deep thinker, (blocked) creative? Do you struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, people-pleasing, masking, burn out or chronic-fatigue? Would you like to navigate your internal and external experiences with more ease, understanding, expansion? Want a space to process your human experience and co-create a path forward?
My Background and Approach
Welcome! I offer (online, individual, somatic-based, trauma-informed. talk therapy) to women (cis, non-binary, trans, LGBTQ+) residing in Michigan (MI). In sessions together, you can expect to collaborate to understand and support your nervous-system, and explore the various parts of YOU through personalized variations of mindfulness, Self-inquiry, and exploration of body-based practices. My approach is integrative and informed through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory (PVT), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I aim to hold space for your already-existing pathways to (healing, coping, thriving). My self-pay/out-of-pocket rate is $125/per session - I accept insurance (BCBS, Aetna, Priority). I have additional specialized experience working in the child welfare/foster care system(s), community mental health, and in non-profit spaces with neurodiverse people.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the (clarity, calmness, curiosity, connection, goodness) you seek already exists within you; my aim is to help you access it. I believe therapy is one important avenue toward understanding your-Self, position, experiences, and helping to achieve your goals. I believe your human experience exists on a spectrum; “diagnoses” are only helpful insomuch as they facilitate greater Self-understanding, insight, compassion, resourcing. I’m a first generation college graduate from a working class background. A key piece of my educational experience - in addition to receiving my MSW and field training - has been unlearning the deeply embedded influences of the imperialist, colonial, capitalist structures I’ve been socialized within, informed by the efforts of Black, Indigenous, and people of color, women, the LGBTQ+ community, folks from low socio-economic backgrounds, and those disproportionately impacted by the “dominant over-culture” I aim to hold space for in therapy.
