About My Clients
Each client is unique and will have unique needs. We will challenge negative beliefs and perceptions and be able to recognize, accept, process, and work through issues as well as learn coping skills to manage reactions and emotions. While we can’t change or forget difficult situations of the past, we can work together to get to the root cause of issues and will talk, collaborate, and brainstorm to help you be empowered, gain back control, and move forward in a healthy, positive manner.
My Background and Approach
I’ve been in the Mental Health field for over 15 years and help individuals (teens and adults), families, and veterans learn to recognize, cope with, and overcome whatever may be affecting daily life and functioning. This includes (but is not limited to) trauma, abuse, abandonment, depression, anxiety, anger, and stress. I'm easy to talk to, a good listener, and empathetic. I find that Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and talk therapy are very effective in helping recognize issues, work through them, and be able to manage them. Humor always helps, too!
