My Background and Approach
My areas of expertise include treating symptoms and disorders that impact the way we experience emotions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, psychosis, interpersonal distress, and life transitions. We will work together to identify treatment goals and develop a plan for care. The focus of our sessions and the skills we discuss will be guided by your personal wellness goals. Aspects of your past, personal identities, culture, and values give light to current experiences and are discussed throughout therapy. Having advanced training in evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, allows me to flexibly adapt care to meet your specific needs. We will periodically check-in regarding your progress to ensure that our sessions are helpful and effective. My goal is for every person I work with to leave therapy feeling confident in their ability to navigate challenges and empowered to live their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all doing the best we can with the tools we have AND there is always space for personal growth. You are the expert of your experiences and I am a resource to help you effectively navigate life so that you can achieve your goals. Oftentimes that means building greater awareness, learning new approaches, and implementing more workable responses. Change is hard and the outcomes are worth it! I believe that therapy is the catalyst for these changes and I greatly enjoying supporting others through this process. I offer both in-person and video telehealth services.
