About My Clients
Starting the healing journey is such a courageous and loving gift to give yourself, and I am so glad you are here. When our emotional, physical, and spiritual needs are not nurtured, especially at a young age, we learn to disconnect from our body as a means of survival. This can lead to symptoms such as depersonalization, anger, chronic pain, sadness, confusion, inability to focus, lethargy, and more. Together, we can help you connect to your body's innate wisdom.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults (18+) who experience symptoms aligned with PTSD, C-PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. I am passionate about working with survivors of childhood trauma, sexual abuse, cult abuse, domestic violence, religious/institutional abuse, and attachment difficulties. I also really love working with the LGBTQIA2+ community. I utilize Somatic, Emotion-Focused, Psychodynamic, and Humanistic approaches in therapy. I have completed the 60 hour Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate Program through the Embody Lab. The body holds memories often that the brain cannot. Such an essential part of trauma healing is allowing the body to come along the journey, listening to the stories it has always held, and providing a safe place for those stories to be heard and nurtured.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all humans are inherently worthy, capable of growth and deserving of healing. All people are deserving of basic human rights. Fat liberation frees all people, regardless of body size. I am a member of the LGBTQIA2+ community and have volunteered at Pride in the past. I also have spent several years volunteering at the suicide prevention walk. I believe Black Lives Matter and support the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women crisis.
