About My Clients
My clients range from the ebbs, flows and transitions of daily life to trauma recovery to self esteem to anxiety/depression to gender and sexuality issues/exploration. Whether it is creating the day to day life you want, working through past/present wounds, or finding your authentic self, I am here to help every step of the way. I work with adolescents (14+) and adults.
My Background and Approach
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I have a background working in a group home, school based therapy, and outpatient therapy, as well as previously running a sizable location of a group private practice as a clinical director. I am trained in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. I utilize CBT, Person Centered, Solution Focused, and Reality Therapies. Genuine connection is at the heart of everything I do. My approach to therapy is warm, laid-back, and real—I believe in creating a safe, welcoming space where you can show up as your true self. Whether we’re laughing together or digging into the tough stuff, my goal is to walk alongside you as you grow, heal, and step into the life you truly want. When I am not providing therapy, I have a passion for working with LACs as they pursue their terminal licenses. As a supervisor, I’m here to cheer you on, provide the support you need, and give you space to grow and shine as a helping professional.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in a conservative Christian household, but I have shed that life, deconstructed my belief system to a more open, inclusive, and supportive way of life. Because of my background, I do well working with others coming out of that life, dealing with family who may have that belief system/bridging gaps in hard situations, or healing wounds that may have been caused by religion. I am also a GALAP Pledge signer and proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community as an ally, with single-session assessments for letters of support and pushing for no gatekeeping affirming care for trans and NB clients.
