About My Clients
I'm glad you're here. Do you find yourself struggling with challenges around growing your family, trauma, or family issues? Are you familiar with that never ending loop of not feeling good enough or capable enough? You're not alone. Sit down, let's talk about. My goal is to create a safe space for all individuals to be able to talk about their challenges and leave feeling capable to take on their day. I also love to have fun and joke with my clients when appropriate.
My Background and Approach
I started my journey into therapy knowing I wanted to specialize in trauma. I am not a clinician that shies away from big T traumas, but instead likes to help clients feel capable to tackle them. I love to utilize EMDR and the flash technique. I have seen it work wonders with all varieties of individuals and challenges. It makes my day when clients no longer have to carry around past trauma and heavy feelings. A few years ago, I had my first kiddo. I then quickly realized this was a huge gap in the mental health field. I remember feeling unsupported and unseen. I quickly grew my own professional background in this area with the goal to make others feel supported, heard, and seen. I got certified in this area and found another calling supporting parents and families growing or trying to grow their family.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be an interactive process and should be centered around the goals of the client. I am here to support you in where you want to be and give you the space to process, feel your feelings, and see the growth you are looking for. I strive to meet each individual where they are at, knowing that each person is coming with their own history that makes their journey completely unique. I bring my expertise and professional background, but my clients are the guiding force. I believe all humans deserve respect, kindness, and a safe space regardless of gender identify, race, ethnicity, or religion. I do not pretend to be an expert in all the diverse areas of individuals lives, but I strive to be open and willing to learn. I believe clients are the experts on their lives and I am not afraid to ask questions and educate myself on areas I'm not familiar with. I believe in having an open dialogue with my clients and treating them as an equal in the therapeutic process.
