About My Clients
If you're grappling with the aftermath of sexual or domestic violence, facing challenges in processing a traumatic childhood, or finding it hard to cope with daily life because of PTSD, you're not alone. Moving forward as a survivor can feel daunting, overwhelming, and confusing. Kourtney's practice, Cultivating Capacity, is rooted in a compassionate, holistic approach that integrates the clinical art of psychotherapy and the neuroscience of mental health and wellness.
My Background and Approach
Cultivating Capacity is a highly specialized practice designed for women, LGBTQIA2S(plus), Service Members and military families, dynamic partner and family units (ENM, polyamory, multifamily and kin households), violence and crime survivors, neurodiverse persons, and persons living with intergenerational family trauma. You'll receive a curated treatment plan supported by neuroscience. With over a decade of clinical experience, I specialize in working with women, gender and sex minorities, military families, dynamic partner and family units, survivors of sexual and relational violence, and generational family trauma. My practice is rooted in a compassionate, holistic approach that integrates the clinical art of psychotherapy and the neuroscience of mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I founded Cultivating Capacity, a practice rooted in compassion and relational neuroscience, because I believe everyone has the potential to nurture themselves and nourish their relationships. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, where my clients and I work together to uncover strengths, foster resilience, and create positive and lasting change. My training in integrative care allows me to draw from various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices to tailor treatment specifically to each individual's unique needs. This is known as a person-centered approach.
