Anxiety is incredibly common and what most people don't realize is that we need anxiety. Anxiety prevents us from playing in traffic, however anxiety can also prevent us from doing things that cannot harm us. So when working with anxiety, I help my clients to identify if their anxiety is alerting them to an actual concern or if their anxiety is signaling to them when not needed. I help to rebuild the relationship between you and your anxiety.

While I am aware that a lot of of therapists shy away from personality disorders, I enjoy working with them. Therapists aren't usually well versed on working with this population, which is why they aren't diagnosed and treated as they should be. I have taken many courses and trainings to gain a better and deeper understanding in working with these individuals. I will work with all personality disorders except for narcissistic personality disorder.

I find more often than not when working with this population, that the survivors suffered at the hands of someone with a severe personality disorder. This type of abuse is different and more severe than domestic violence as it uses luring tactics and gaslighting leaving the victim confused and deeply hurt.
