My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am based in San Francisco and also see Chicago clients (primarily by video but with periodic in-person availability). I see Illinois and California clients primarily by HIPAA-compliant confidential video sessions, but also in person. I am also available to do teletherapy-only in Florida. I had a long career as a prominent progressive community activist, policy organizer, campaign worker, and health care advocate, focusing especially on anti-racist work, civil liberties, ecosocialism, women’s and queer liberation, sex positivity, HIV prevention and care, disrupting the gender system, overcoming trauma and abuse, and youth suicide prevention. In addition to that very Western, very scientific construct, I studied and worked in several areas of Energy Medicine and spirituality. Both of these led me to this work in community mental health.
