Maddie Nutt (she/her)

I am passionate about creating safe spaces for adolescents to explore and heal. Through my professional and personal experience working with tweens & teens, I understand the pressures and developmental milestones that can be challenging for this age group. I combine psychoeducation and radical acceptance to best support my adolescent clients.

I have worked with children, ages 5 and up, extensively in and out of therapeutic circles. I have studied deeply the needs to these little ones and have incorporated fun, educational, and safe practices to best support your child. My younger clients have grown in self-esteem, social competence, and emotional regularity through our one-on-one work together.

One of my greatest passions is studying and aiding women in healing from the systematic traumas that exist in our world. In my pursuit of helping women, I am in a Multicultural Women & Gender Studies graduate certificate program at Texas Woman's University. My hope if to provide a safe space for clients to grieve, hope, and be as they wade through their healing journey.

Trauma-informed therapy is an evidence-based method that is rooted in the understanding that we all have experiences, emotions, and responses that have shaped the way we interact with our current world. My aim is to hold space for the client's specific experiences, without judgment or expectation, and making room for safe processing.

My counseling practice is founded on the belief that the client must be fully supported, believed, and understood to best reach healing. As a therapist, my role is to provide a space for you to explore and better understand yourself to live a more congruent life. I utilize the client's specific interests, talents, and life outlook to collaboratively work towards their specified goals.

Feminist Therapy is rooted in the idea of equity, and I hope to provide an environment that invites folks, no matter the stories they bring or the identities they hold, to explore themselves and discover healing.
