About My Clients
People often come to me to improve their relational health. Whether it's their relationship with their partner, family, or just themselves, I can help. Because my approach is integrative, my clients typically enjoy being able to feel comfortable sharing their feelings, beliefs and identities while knowing we will be able to build a safe inclusive space.
My Background and Approach
One of my favorite quotes is by Terence, "I am human, and let no human experience be alien to me." I have an intentionally diverse background. I've worked in college counseling centers, private practices, Veterans Affairs, as well as prisons. What I learned is that we are all human, trying to do our best to figure out what is best for us and those we love. With a master's in marriage and family therapy, and a PhD in counseling, you'll typically see me use what I learned to help bridge the gap between us. At the same time, you will not see me attempt to be the expert in your life. Rather, I think of therapy as us having the opportunity to walk together towards what you believe to be most liberatory. And I would feel honored if you'd want me to join you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice placing compassion at the core of my work. It is my belief that there are no wrong feelings, and my continual hope is to work with you to build a safe space where we can sit in the discovery of your authentic self. Then walk alongside each other toward your goals.
