About My Clients
I am passionate about creating a space for the unique mental health concerns of parents, couples, and relationships in all forms and stages. The life transition from individual to couple, person to parent, and so on, can often bring alarming levels of existential distress. This demands more grace, patience, and support.
My Background and Approach
I have over a decade of experience in the field of mental health, working in outpatient clinics, court rooms, family shelters, and more. I began practicing clinical psychotherapy about 5 years ago. I have training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Sex Therapy. In 2020, before becoming a first-time mother, I obtained my certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) . When I obtained my clinical license and SIFI in 2022, I began providing supervision to other mental health professionals, and overseeing an intern program. My approach with clients is warm, authentic, and collaborative. I strive to co-create a space that feels supportive for them, not just working toward a specific agenda or goal. Therapy should be reflective and helpful, but I firmly believe that it does not always have to be "productive"- this is something that we all have to push toward un-learning.
