As a Latina immigrant, I understand the taboos related to mental health and how this impacts the willingness to access mental health. If you are reading this, I am glad you are seeking support. My role in the therapeutic relationship is a guest, bringing different skills I have learned throughout years of practice, and sharing them with you to improve your mental health and quality of life.
My Background and Approach
I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach and borrow some techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Therapy (MBSR).
