About My Clients
I believe in meeting people where they are, this being said I feel like I would thrive with any client. I just ask for a willingness to put the work in with me! I am most excited to work with all genders struggling with depressive thoughts, anxiety and addiction.
My Background and Approach
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have a history working in addiction counseling, as well as in a child and adolescent mental health inpatient hospital. While there, I treated children ages 5-18 and worked in conjunction with the families. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that creating a safe space and building rapport are paramount to the counseling profession. As a young man in a predominately female profession, I am sensitive to the vast issues that all genders in today's society are faced with and have an understanding of generational miscommunication.
