About My Clients

Opher has experience supporting people with mental health challenges (behavioral dysregulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, disorganized thinking); somatic issues (sleep, pain, eating); and identity exploration (LGBTQ+, immigration, life transitions).

My Background and Approach

Opher earned his master’s degree in drama therapy from New York University, and is a published and award-winning researcher. In the last two years, he has been training in the Developmental Transformations method, which focuses on building skills to deal with life’s instability. He uses evidence-based techniques (including creative arts therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and play therapy) and individualizes the treatment for each person, couple, or family with whom he works. His approach is strength-based and action-oriented. As part of his practice, he follows the principles of the Disability Justice movement and the Health At Every Size approach. Opher is also a director of therapeutic theater.
