Paulina Levinzon

I am a licensed clinical alcohol & drug counselor. I have experience working with a variety of different behaviors that people find in some way interfere with their lives. In addition to individual therapy, I also work in outpatient group therapy programs, inpatient/rehab programs, a crisis center, as well as have worked in a halfway house. Such a wide range of experiences has assisted me in a greater understanding of the what people go through.

Living with excessive anxiety can be experienced as distracting, stressful, and exhausting as we move through our lives. Often, it may connect with some level of sadness/depression. We can work together to help you learn to manage your anxiety and listen to what your body is telling you to help support you in whatever feeling comes up for you.

I help people work through a variety of traumas. Healing trauma is about releasing the impacts of a negative situation that we experience(d) as harmful to us in some way. My goal is to help you move through and release how you have been impacted, not just work on changing a feeling. I take a gentle and nurturing approach in helping you. I will work with you in the ways you want to go.

There are a variety of trauma therapies out there. I use therapies that involve moving at your pace to help you work through what has impacted you. These can include learning to tune into your body and mind.

Addiction counseling can range from helping you to reduce the amount of certain behavior that you do to helping you stop completely. There are many strategies that can help with work on finding strategies to cope with cravings/thoughts, repairing relationships, building self-esteem, managing stress, and overall feeling better. We can work together to come up with a plan and take steps to figure out what works for you.
