My Background and Approach
Hi there! I'm Perry Martin, a registered professional counselor and marital and family therapist. I have areas of expertise include serious psychopathology-related life conflicts, parental disputes, relationship/family issues, trauma, grief, stress management, school behavioral problems, and mood stabilization (depression, anxiety, rage, etc.).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my experience as a therapist, empathy and compassion are powerful tools for establishing a secure environment in which clients may freely explore their feelings and thoughts. I really believe that everyone has the capacity for development and transformation, and I have a great deal of respect for the human spirit's tenacity. I use an eclectic approach that empowers clients to actively participate in their journey by taking into account each person's emotional, mental, physical, and social aspects. Furthermore, I place a high priority on cultural sensitivity, appreciating and acknowledging each person's distinct experiences and backgrounds. Confidentiality and trust are essential to my practice.
