About My Clients
I work primarily with queer & trans people in their twenties and thirties to help them heal from trauma and codependency patterns. Many of my clients have family members or loved ones who struggle with addiction. I can help you regain your sense of self and start to focus on your own needs.
My Background and Approach
I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR and other trauma processing, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. I am a certified yoga instructor and I integrate whole body wellness and mindfulness into my practice
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more.
