About My Clients
Finding a new therapist can be difficult. If you seek an empowering and supportive therapeutic experience that addresses your psychological needs and goals, I may be the right therapist for you. With my holistic approach that focuses on psychological and physical health, along with my specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention therapy, I can help reduce psychological distress and engagement in self-discovery, processing, and independence.
My Background and Approach
CBT is a cornerstone of my practice, my training has equipped me to integrate therapeutic approaches that honor cultural identity, acknowledge the impact of past experiences, and facilitate emotional understanding. I continue to focus my clinical practice on providing a healing space for those harmed by structural and/or interpersonal oppression while emphasizing the therapeutic relationship as an integral part of authentic healing. Discussing your experiences with a space that centers trust and non-judgement supports my client’s journey of self-discovery and self-love. I recognize that one approach to therapy cannot fully capture your intersectional experience, culture, and identity, so I tailor treatment to reflect your goals and needs. When working with me, you can expect a supportive and collaborative space where you can openly share and explore the parts of yourself that matter most.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value that you are the expert of your story, and I am here to learn and grow with you as we navigate these experiences that have played an integral part in who you are today. I also value authenticity and safety in the space when building a therapeutic relationship. There will be many moments where challenging experiences may be hard to discuss, and we need a safe and authentic space supporting your autonomy and readiness to discuss those experiences. Your voice will always be heard here, and decisions about your therapeutic journey can always be discussed together. Starting therapy is a huge first step, and if you choose to bring me along on your journey of healing, we will center your autonomy, safety, and needs in a supportive and collaborative space.
