About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who are open-minded to change how they think, speak, act, and react. My ideal clients are those who have a willingness to engage and improve their mental health. My clients understand that therapy impacts their lives as much as they apply other concepts (i.e., going to their Primary Care Doctor). I enjoy working with clients who want to see progress in their lives & take responsibility for helping themselves achieve any number of mental health goals they may have.
My Background and Approach
As a counselor, my goal is to help enrich my clients' lives by inspiring and motivating them to reach their idea of self-actualization. I want to provide a safe environment in which clients can be open with their emotions & find comfort in healing. My scope of practice stems in using various theoretical techniques & therapies such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic Therapy, Existential Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Spiritualism. Using these unique techniques & therapies allows me to work with individuals who have been impacted by trauma, substance use disorders, abuse, neglect, difficulties with sexual orientation/gender roles & expectations, familial & marital conflict, interpersonal issues, changes in career, grief, or other life transitions. I believe in promoting self-awareness and happiness to my clients.
