About My Clients
I work with people managing difficult diagnoses and through psychoeducation and support, help reduce internal stigmatization. If you have been told by other providers your conditions are too severe for private practice or you have BiPolar, Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder, self-harming behaviors, suicidal thoughts, I can help you take the necessary steps for self acceptance. I also am connected to the LGBTQ+ community and have worked with many parents of LGBTQ+ kids.
My Background and Approach
Too often, mental health professionals shy away from certain diagnoses and concerns. However, I believe in de stigmatizing all mental health concerns and hope to help people with concerns ranging from depression and anxiety to personality disorders and mood disorders. The more complicated and confusing your feelings are, the more I want to help you grow and reach for your goals. I offer flexibility in sessions both in times and locations. Sometimes, sitting in an office or staring and someone online can feel uncomfortable, so I can help you find a way to get into a comfortable environment. I have extensive training and experience in mood disorders (BiPolar and Schizoaffective), personality disorders and trauma therapy. Let me walk alongside you in your journey to accepting yourself and finding creative ways to reach for your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone deserves to have the therapy they want and need. I believe that therapists might have a background and training in different evidence based practices but clients are definitely the experts on their own wants and needs.
