About My Clients
My work as a general psychotherapy practitioner has seen me work enormously well with had-to-treat patients. If you are a little bit afraid that an anxiety attack is waiting around the corner; been hit with surprise anxiety more times than you can count? I know exactly what you're feeling: the pounding chest, the shortness of breath, the feeling that the walls are closing in and you need out NOW. Attacks can be terrifying, and I don't want you to have to suffer them anymore.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Bachelor of Arts [BA] degree in Sociology -with a minor in Psychology. I am also the recipient of an earned Master of Sciences [MSc.] degree in Human Services Administration as well; and I also am the holder of an earned Master of Science [MSc.] degree in Counseling - with an emphasis in Addiction assessment and treatment and Psychometrics [Clinical Psychology core]. I also hold a Master of Arts [MA] degree in Human and Organizational Development, and I also read for and went to the final stages of the dissertation process to be awarded a Doctorate [PhD] in Human and Organizational Development. I am the holder of an earned doctorate (PhD) in Psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a nationally(USA) -qualified Forensic Assessment and Substance Abuse counseling professional, I have over two decades of experience in the field of applied social and behavioral sciences under my (expanding) belt. My experiences include treating couples, addressing family issues, dealing with organization’s psychological needs-and working as a mental health provider to stakeholders in the Legal Justice system as an expert witness in matters related to mental health, addiction and the Law. My forensic work has taken place in the United States, Canada and in the Caribbean. My treatment approach is eclectic, and integrative, meaning that I incorporate the best from nutrition, lifestyle counseling, herbology and applied neuropsychology in my work with patients.
