About My Clients

I love working with people with all kinds of experiences. But I also specialize and have significant experience in working with people with grief and trauma.

My Background and Approach

I received my master’s and PhD at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. While in Knoxville I received my license as a professional counselor, working in all kinds of settings including juvenile court, prison, non profit, and college counseling. I love working with people of all backgrounds!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I operate as a “person-centered counselor,” which means my focus is building a relationship and trust with my clients and working together to decide how far and deep we go in each session. I love working with people with all kinds of experiences. But I also specialize and have significant experience in working with people with grief and trauma. I am most likely to start with what is weighing on you the heaviest. Releasing these heaviest burdens can relieve some of our symptoms. This can clear up space for what may be the smaller pieces that are directing us in ways we don’t realize, to change our behaviors.
