My Background and Approach
I graduated with my MSW from the University of Central Florida in 2014, and since then, I have been helping children, adults, and families through crisis and trauma within scopes of practice such as child welfare, healthcare, community mental health, and crisis response (alongside first responders). I've worked with people of all walks of life and richness of experience, which has given me invaluable experience and knowledge has been invaluable in navigating the delicate tapestry of human resilience and vulnerability. This has allowed me to opportunities to support people in their darkest moments, offering not just professional support, but a compassionate presence that acknowledges their pain, identifies and celebrates the courage to heal, and encourages resilience and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify queer and neurodivergent, and my experience has greatly informed my values and the ways I've been called to action in life. Social justice is a paramount guiding light in my life. I believe in compassion as a means to healing psychological suffering, and I also recognize the power of self-discovery into what authentically matters to you and how you can align your life accordingly to reduce cognitive dissonance and build confidence and motivation. Having a strong support network is critical to long-term wellbeing and livelihood, and enhancing protective social structures is tremendously beneficial to resiliency, access to resources, and safety in profound and meaningful ways, so enhancing this aspect of life is fundamental to long-term health and wellbeing.
