About My Clients
My counseling experience includes working with those who are experiencing addiction, chronic illness, grief and loss, trauma, becoming a new parent, depression, anxiety, career/life changes, and others. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is important in healing. Because of this, counseling begins with us building a relationship. We will work together to identify and define your goals as you continue to strive for more acceptance and freedom in your life!
My Background and Approach
If you're reading this, you are more than likely experiencing some pain and suffering. You may feel lost and hopeless. This pain can become unbearable, especially when we walk through it alone. When we suffer, we often desire the presence of someone not affected by that pain to come alongside us and hear our cries. To sit with us in the emotions and understand us on a deeper level. With my clients, I work hard to be this presence and to form a safe space for you to feel your emotions, to be heard, and to be accepted.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our emotions can oftentimes feel like huge waves that drown us and pull us deep under the surface. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can begin to understand your process and how to best ride the wave of your emotions without being yanked under. Once you gain access to your emotions, you begin to better understand their origin. We can now explore potential beliefs that are tied to your emotions that may cause you suffering. This discovery can allow you the agency to reframe these beliefs into belief systems that are more understanding and accepting of your current situation. It is my hope and belief that reframing these belief systems will bring more freedom, hope, and joy to your life! It would be my delight to come alongside you and work together to turn your hardship into acceptance, understanding, and agency. I am here for you!
