About My Clients

I love working with Queer, BIPOC/Asian/Filipinx community, neurodivergent people, first-gen Americans, polyam and kinky individuals and couples, spiritual folks (especially earth-based spiritualists and witches), and others who struggle to find that "good fit" with therapists following conventional, Western therapeutic approaches.

My Background and Approach

I work with a holistic or “whole person” model of wellness focused on wholeness and connection. Together you and I can find ways to strengthen your relationships with your mind, body, spirit, emotions, and the Earth. We can do this through activities like meditation, body awareness, writing, interacting with nature, and exploring dreams. I work with people struggling through attachment issues, childhood trauma/inner child wounds, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, over-functioning, identity work, and systemic oppression. In my couples work, I enjoy working with intercultural, kinky, polyam, and queer folks in all kinds of areas like conflict, finances, infidelity, sex, and personality. In my work as a holistic therapist, I help clients bring this experience of greater connection and integration into their lives while also honoring my commitments to social justice, cultural sensitivity, inclusive worldviews, and compassionate care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Compassionate Care: Clients deserve respect, empathy, and compassion. This means providing a safe, confidential, and caring space for clients to express their genuine thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Social Justice: Society systemically marginalizes people on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, age, appearance, ability, and many other factors. The mental health field is also historically rooted in these oppressive systems. Therapy informed by social justice expresses a commitment to supporting and empowering people who have been hurt by systemic injustice. Cultural Respect: There are limits to understanding cultures and customs which differ from my own. One of the most effective ways of showing respect for clients' backgrounds and traditions is by being open to learning. With respect and sensitivity, therapists can help clients from other walks of life feel comfortable, understood, and accepted.
