About My Clients

I enjoy working with all different types of people, genders, and ages. I enjoy working with clients who recognize a change is needed and willing to work towards that change. I have worked with a wide range if issues such as mood instability, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, ADHD, compulsive disorders, trauma, boundary issues, and personality disorders.

My Background and Approach

I have 20 years working in the mental health field. I received my masters degree in marriage and family in 2020. I have certifications in trauma, child parent psychotherapy, first responders, domestic violence, ADHD, compulsive disorders, weight management, health coaching, suicide first aid, and chronic pain. My approach is to listen first. I want to hear the client and help them where they want the help. My aim is to allow the client to identify the focus of the work. In this approach I am validating the client and modeling what it is to be heard and listened to. Then we focus on the change. For things to improve a change has to happen!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a marriage and family therapist because in my opinion it is how I can make the world a better place. By starting small and growing - individual, relationships, family, community, city, state, country, etc. I can help make a change. It us similar to the pebble in a calm water. When you drop one small pebble, the ripples can go as far as the water goes. If I can help one person be mentally stable, experience positive growth and identify their purpose and happiness, it will ripple out.
