About My Clients
I believe that healing and growth are possible for anyone willing to question deeply held assumptions, taking an active role in what life means or should mean to them. I hope to walk alongside you as you make meaning of your life and relationships. I think that this can be an especially difficult task for marginalized communities ie BIPOC, LGBTQIA, Neurodivergent people, and Disabled People. I'm especially passionate about meeting the needs of these communities
My Background and Approach
I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (MA). I'm a Narrative Therapist, which means that I'm very interested in stories; the stories that exist in the mind of society, our families, and ourselves. I journey with my clients through these stories, learning how they came to be, making them fuller and richer, and ultimately assisting them in choosing the next chapters. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Psychological Science, while also assisting in research that studied the connection between mindfulness and kindness. This experience has led me to believe that staying connected to the present moment can have an important impact on the ways we show up for strangers and the ones we love alike. The duality of my training has defined my role as Healer/Scientist. I find that the brain and behavioral sciences can help inform therapeutic practice, but feel ultimately that it is my clients who will define what it means to be, who they are.
