About My Clients
I work with adults in their 20s/30s/40s/50s who are often international, BIPOC & LGBTQIA. We focus on attachment, life transitions & relationship issues, including: social anxiety, codependency, family dynamics, parenting, romantic relationships, dating, intimacy & sexuality. My clients often work to heal workaholic tendencies, perfectionism, depression, PTSD & trauma (complex/childhood/relational/bullying/cultural/intergenerational/collective).
My Background and Approach
Through group psychotherapy, sometimes in combination with individual psychotherapy, I accompany people on their journey and helps them transcend loneliness, heal from wounds and trauma, and find their unique vision for their life. My mission is to help my patients use the practice of group therapy to foster greater connection, growth, and purpose. I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach drawing from psychodynamic, relational, attachment, social justice, liberation psychology, existential, Jungian, and spiritual traditions. I am committed to using my advanced, specialized training in group psychotherapy and interpersonal process to help people cultivate the belonging, love and intimacy they desire and deserve. I believe that issues of oppression, difference, and identity need to be approached with honesty, humility, love and a strong understanding of trauma and societal dynamics. I embrace a liberation psychology lens to understand how mental health and identity intersect.
